I have upgraded to 512 kbps connection with 2.5 Gb of traffic today (I used to have a 256/1.8 connection until now since my return to Uzbekistan). And I pay $50 a month for this lousy connection. It is faster than my previous connection, of course, but nothing compared to my 20 Mbps (a whopping 20480 kbps) connection with unlimited traffic in Denmark, for which I used to pay the same amount of money — $50. So, I am getting 40 times less bandwith in Uzbekistan than in Denmark for the same amount of money.

Give me my Denmark back…

Green Card

It turns out that there is a Danish Green Card scheme. It allows a holder of this card to stay in Denmark for 6 months in order to look for a job.

To get the card, you have to earn 80 points. For example, being younger than 27 gives you 20 points, knowing English — another 20 points, 1—2 years work experience grants you 15 points etc.

Very interesting.
